Hello! I'm Adam and I'm a data professional who bridges the gap between traditional economics and data science. Modern data professionals should have a diverse toolbox which brings together the econometric approach to model building and causal inference as well as the data pipeline, engineering, wrangling, and machine learning tools associated with data science. Always remember the real work is data procurement and wrangling - the real problem is our assumptions.
I am currently an economist at RTI International based in Research Triangle Park, NC. At RTI, I have focused on two main areas including model development and automation. I've worked as a quantitative analyst on various projects including oncology care, diabetes prevention, HIV modeling, hypertension modeling, and several other public health intervention models. One of my foci at RTI has been introducting automation focusing on previously high-labor processes over various points in a project's lifecycle including data procurement, model running, and report production. I hold a Master of Science in Economics with a minor in Data Analytics from the University of Central Florida.
